Land Based activities;
Horse Riding is thoroughly recommended
and is a great way to explore Gower. We recommend you book this in advance as it
can get booked up during summer months.
Archery can be a great day out for both
adults and children. This centre is also home to a falconry centre and is definately
recommended.
There are lots of really good golf courses in Gower including
Fairwood, Pennard and
Langland Golf Course.
For the more daring there is Mountain boarding,
Paintballing and
Cyne Farm Activity Centre offering a great mud assault course.
Water Sports and Boat Trips;
Antur Outdoor provide a number of activities which are highly recommended by the Kings Head staff. Why not try coasteering, gorgewalking, kayaking, climbing or abseiling? They even offer surfing and bush craft and can cater for all your needs.
Gower Coast Adventures offers
several boat trips around Gower and offers a great view of Gower, marine life and
Gower history.
If you don't mind getting wet try Euphoria for all your water sports from sailing, to water skiing, to wake boarding.
Kite Boarding is also available for
the more adventurous.
There are many surf schools in Gower WSF and GSD and
PJ's Surf shop just opposite caters for all your equipment needs.
The LC offers a great day out for the family. The LC includes Wales’ biggest indoor water park with a network of pools, rides and slides, including the a one-of-a-kind surf simulator, the Boardrider. There is also a 4 storey, aquatic themed, interactive play area and 30ft indoor climbing wall.
Days out in Gower and Swansea

Gower Heritage Centre offers a great start to get a feel for Gowers Heritage. The centre is a visitaor
attraction & rural life museum based around a working 12th century water-mill.
Pennard Castle is the
remains of a Norman Castle standing high of the cliffs overlooking Pennard
Burrows & Three Cliffs Bay.
National Waterfront Museum is situated in the Maritime Quarter in Swansea. It is a fabuous demostration of
how indusrty & innovation have affected the lives of poeple in Wales over the
last 300 years.
Swansea Museum is also in
the Maritime Quarter and is the oldest museum in Wales. It is a real treasure
house of the ordinary and extraordinary from Swansea past & present.
Dylan Thomas Centre is a permanent
exhibition Centre dedicated to the life and work of Dylan Thomas. It also has a
cosy cafe and a book shop.
1940s Swansea has an actual
indoor street from the 1940s with clothes and uniforms of the period to dress up
in, don't forget you camera when you visit!
Dan-Yr-Ogof Caves is the National Show
Caves centre for Wales and has won an impressive amount of awards including
being voted Britains Finest Natural Wonder.

May 2000 making it the first national botanic garden to be created in the new
millennium. Voted for many awards including 'No1 Garden to visit in Wales'

farm animal favourites but a zoo and a fair!

St Fagans is one of
Europe's leading open air museums & Wales most popular heritage attraction. With
historical buildings, (even one from Llangennith), a living museum, Castle and
Gardens it is definately worth a visit.

Penderyn Distillery offers a
visitor centre for you to see how the famous penderyn whiskies are produced,
barelled, finished & nurtured until they are ready for distribution. So go on
then take a journey through the history of Penderyn.

The Gower Show is traditionally the
first Sunday in August and this year it is on the 7th of August. It is held in
the beautiful grounds of Penrice Castle Park. It is a traditional country show
which is a lovely day out.
